Query:
Americans are expected to resume international leisure travel
this year. But when they do, they will find that the world sees
them has changed. The U.S. struggles with COVID-19 and its
debate about the vaccine and mask-wearing has changed how people
feel about Americans. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who
has traveled overseas recently and seen that firsthand. Do
people treat Americans differently? If so, how? From travel and
etiquette experts, I would like to know what travelers can do
now to prepare themselves for their first post-pandemic
international trip. What kind of things should you be more aware
of? For example, should you always wear a mask, even when others
are not? Should you avoid any discussion of COVID-19 and
politics? What should travelers do -- and not do?

Please read this before answering. I'd be very grateful if you
could send an initial response to my questions by email. Please

previously published materials, such as press releases or blog
posts. If a phone interview is necessary, I will follow up right

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 5 January
Query:
I'm researching a story about new ways to buy insurance for a
leisure trip in 2021. I'm looking for any innovations that make
it easier to shop and compare travel insurance or individual
components of travel insurance, such as rental car insurance or
medical evacuation coverage. Also, are there any new ways to buy
insurance now? Are there any new websites or apps that make it a
more simple and intuitive process? I'd love to hear from
travelers who have found a better way to buy travel insurance.
I'm also interested in hearing from companies that have
introduced, or are about to introduce, a better way to buy
insurance.
