STORY: Five Do-Overs C-Level Executives Wish They Could Have
Back.

Managers who made it to the executive suite certainly made their
share of positive, productive moves. But once they arrived at
the C-suite, mistakes were made that executives wish they could
have back.

What "do-overs" would business leaders love to have back - and
what would they do differently?

For the story, we need these questions answered:

1. As an executive or business owner, what's the single biggest
mistake you made as a business leader and why?

2. How did you resolve the issue?

3. For new CEO's/Executives, what are the most common "rookie
mistakes" made early on by newly-minted executives?

All comments are welcome. The more descriptive, the better.
Thank you.

Requirements:

CEO's and other C-level execs, business owners, business
leaders, business experts, retired CEO's, academics, corporate

and explain what it means to financial consumers. We'd need
these queries answered:

1. What is that FICO model, exactly, and what should consumers
focus on to boost their credit scores once they understand that
credit scoring model?

2. Also, what new developments are impacting the FICO credit
scoring model? (The new FICO resilience index, for example.)

3. What are your best tips in getting the best FICO credit score?

Thanks for the help . . .

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 13 July

Query:

STORY: Here's What to Do If You've Been Laid Off, and Owe Money
on Loans and Credit Cards.

Getting a pink slip is an unfortunate downside in life, leading
the way to several potential personal financial headaches.

If you've been furloughed or laid off from a job, and owe money
on household loans and credit cards, here are the steps you need
to take to keep yourself above water, financially, and buy you
some time paying back loans and credit cards until you land a
new job (i.e., be transparent with lenders/card companies,
negotiate a new repayment timetable, ask for a break on fees and
penalties, etc.)

For this story, we need money experts to offer advice for laid
off employees who face personal debt problems (especially
personal loans, mortgage and auto loans, and credit card debt) -
what recourse do they have?

--- What steps should the individual take after being laid off
and faces personal debt?

--- What mistakes should they avoid when handling personal debt?

--- Are there any public or private programs to help the newly
unemployed deal with financial debt?

--- What's your "top tip" that people can use if they're
jobless, but face high personal debt?

All comments welcome. Thank you.

Requirements:

Debt experts, consumer finance experts, labor and employment
experts, money management professionals, consumer financial
advocates, actual unemployed people dealing with debt issues.

12) Summary: Seeking sources to comment on the debate re: facial recognition technology

Category: High Tech

Email: query-b00l@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Anonymous

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 14 July

Query:

This story will be published on a major technology company's
digital content hub (brand to be disclosed upon source
selection).

Overview: Amid headlines highlighting that major tech brands are
pressing "pause" on partnerships with police departments using
their facial recognition platforms, the biometrics-based
technology has come sharply into the public eye--and under
public scrutiny. As the "faceprint" quickly becomes one of the
most ubiquitous ways of identifying people, the possibility for
that data to be exploited is difficult (and unwise) to ignore.

While FRT for crime-solving and government surveillance may seem
decidedly Orwellian, there are a few genuine pros to this
tech--after all, it has become ubiquitous for simple, everyday
tasks like unlocking mobile devices, and it can help certain
types of businesses bolster security. There are use cases that
range from the seemingly benign (teachers using it to take role
for class, for instance) to a little unsettling
(advertisers/marketers and retailers using FRT to monitor
consumers and identify shoplifters) to straight-up sci-fi
(high-security buildings ensuring only authorized employees
access sensitive materials). So, what is facial recognition
technology actually used for today? What are its implications
for the future? And how does the technology actually work,
anyway? This piece will examine both sides of the facial
recognition tech debate--examining how those expressing
privacy/ethics concerns have valid points, and also discussing
some of the technology's possible benefits.

I'm seeking sources who can comment on either side of the debate.

14) Summary: Nonfinancial risk management in the post-Covid era

Category: High Tech

Email: query-b092@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Anonymous

Deadline: 5:00 PM EST - 13 July

Query:

The economic meltdown of 2008 forced companies to rethink
financial risk management--managing credit risk, liquidity,
market risk, and other issues. Today, the COVID-19 pandemic is
forcing companies to do a similar rethink of nonfinancial
risk--cybersecurity, medical monitoring of employees, managing
risks of third-party vendors, and regulatory and compliance
requirements. Companies today need to bring the same level of
sophistication to resiliency planning as they already do to
capital and liquidity management. I'm looking for companies --
the larger the better -- that can discuss their approaches to
nonfinancial risk in the months/years ahead -- and what
enterprises need to be thinking about on this front.

This is for a vendor-neutral but sponsored online magazine;
details upon request.
