Vitamin D is getting a lot of buzz right now. We would like to
explain to readers why is it so important, in general, and why
is even more important right now? I think people have a vague
sense it's good for their bones and the immune system but
they're not sure why--and that it can help with depression and

In short--what does vitamin D do for us? What are its sources?

There's a lot of talk about the degree to which vitamin D is
