1) Summary: Planning the best vacation ever in 2021/2022

Name: Sally French NerdWallet

Category: Travel

Email: query-bn4j@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: NerdWallet

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 8 December

Query:

I'm looking for people who skipped out on travel in 2020, but
are planning for a trip in 2021 or 2022 that is better than
ever. I want to hear your epic, post-COVID travel plans!

Requirements:

Please submit the following: 1. A brief synopsis of why you're
not traveling this year. (Yes, brief CAN be one word: COVID-19).

2. Tell me what your epic future travel plans are. How set in
stone is it? Did you book the 2022 Antarctica cruise on a Black
Friday sale? Do you have the itinerary set, but are just waiting
to click the "buy button"? I want a gauge of how committed you
are to these travels.

3. What's the big driving reasons for why you are opting for a
super epic trip in 2021/2022? No travel in 2020 means 2x the
budget in 2021? Maybe the "life is short" realization hit hard
this year, and you realized you need to check that bucket list
now? Or perhaps all you did during quarantine was binge "Emily
in Paris," prompting you to want to go to Paris yourself? Tell
me your story!

If it's a fit, I'll follow up with more questions.

2) Summary: How to plan a spring break vacation during a pandemic

Name: Christopher Elliott The Washington Post

Category: Travel

Email: query-bn7o@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: The Washington Post

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 8 December

Query:

I'm researching a story about people who are planning a spring
break vacation amid the pandemic. I'd love to hear from anyone
with plans to travel in late February, March and April. Are you
moving forward with your plans, with or without a vaccine? Do
you plan to get a vaccine if available? Are you considering
certain destinations that may be less dangerous, in terms of
COVID? From travel and health experts, I'd be interested in your
advice for planning a spring break trip. Is it safe to go? How
will you know if it's safe? What kinds of precautions should you
take?

Requirements:

Please read this before answering. I'd be very grateful if you
could send an initial response to my questions by email. Please
do not respond with a note that says you would like to be
considered for this story or want to set up a phone interview
with a source. I'm happy to consider you for this story. I've
included all of my questions in this query. Please take a minute
to briefly answer them. Kindly do not cut-and-paste answers from
previously published materials, such as press releases or blog
posts. If a phone interview is necessary, I will follow up right
away. Be sure to include your full name and a jargon-free, brief
(two to three word) description of your company or affiliation
as you would like it to appear in the article. I will do my
absolute best to acknowledge that I received your pitch and will
make every effort to let you know when the story appears. More

Name: Christopher Elliott USA Today

Category: Travel

Email: query-bn7r@helpareporter.net

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 8 December

Query:

I'm researching a story about the misgivings of U.S. leisure
travelers in 2021. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has
travel plans for next year. What are you afraid of? What can
governments, travel advisors, and travel companies do to help
calm your fears? From travel experts, I'd love to know what, in
your opinion, travelers should -- and shouldn't -- be afraid of.
How are these fears being addressed by the travel industry? How
can travelers address these fears themselves as they plan next
year's travel?

I'm working on a story about Americans who are ignoring the CDC

more COVID-19 infections? What kind of advice do you have for
anyone traveling during the holidays?
