Name: Morgan Greenwald In The Know

Category: Travel

Email: query-bc47@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: In The Know

Deadline: 10:00 AM EST - 5 October

Query:

Hi there! I am working on an article about the increasing number
of Gen Zers and Millennials turning to RV living for myriad
reasons. With that said, I am looking to speak to RV industry
experts and people who have abandoned the traditional stationary
lifestyle to live in an RV about why RV life has become so
appealing to younger folks when it has traditionally been seen
as something for retirees. Thank you in advance!

3) Summary: Are you taking a "workation"?

Name: Ashley Mateo Bustle

Category: Travel

Email: query-bc9v@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Bustle

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 12 October

Query:

I'm working on a story about "workations"--a vacation from which
you work remotely (*not* relocation!)--in the age of
coronavirus. This story is about making a conscious choice to
visit somewhere new for a brief amount of time while working
remotely, and I'm looking for personal stories from people who
did or are doing this. Where did you go and why, how long were
you there, and how did you make it work?

Requirements:

Please note: - I am not looking for stories from people who
have decided to relocate permanently during coronavirus. - I'm
not looking for stories from people who were traveling pre-Covid
and decided to ride it out wherever they were. - I'm not
looking for stories from travel bloggers or people who already
worked remotely before coronavirus.

4) Summary: Is the government protecting air travelers?

Name: Chris Elliott The Washington Post

Category: Travel

Email: query-bcbz@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: The Washington Post

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 7 October

Query:

I'm researching a story about the government's role in
protecting air travelers. So far this year, the Department of
Transportation has issued five consent orders totaling $1.2
million -- mostly against foreign airlines. That's the lowest
level since 2008. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has
flown this year. Do you feel the Department of Transportation
has protected your interests? If so, how? And if not, why not?
I'm also interested in hearing from any experts on air travel
rights. What has the DOT done this year, in your opinion? What
should it be doing?

Requirements:

Please read this before answering. I'd be very grateful if you
could send an initial response to my questions by email. Please
do not respond with a note that says you would like to be
considered for this story or want to set up a phone interview
with a source. I'm happy to consider you for this story. I've
included all of my questions in this query. Please take a minute
to briefly answer them. Kindly do not cut-and-paste answers from
previously published materials, such as press releases or blog
posts. If a phone interview is necessary, I will follow up right
away. Be sure to include your full name and a jargon-free, brief
(two to three word) description of your company or affiliation
as you would like it to appear in the article. I will do my
absolute best to acknowledge that I received your pitch and will
make every effort to let you know when the story appears. More

5) Summary: How 2020 made travel better forever

Name: Chris Elliott The Washington Post

Category: Travel

Email: query-bcc0@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: The Washington Post

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 7 October

Query:

I'm researching a story about how the 2020 pandemic has improved
travel. What has gotten better? I'd love to hear from travelers
about their experiences in 2020. What positive changes have
happened since the pandemic, beyond fewer crowds and more room
on planes? Which of these changes do you expect to be permanent?
From travel experts, I'm interested in hearing about some of the
positive changes you've seen, and which ones you expect to last.
How can travelers prepare or book ahead to that future?
