Media Outlet: CNN Travel - CNN International

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 29 September

Query:

I'm working on a piece on the death of the city escape.
Coronavirus has killed the urban retreat as many travelers are
opting for remote destinations and rural getaways. I'm looking
to interview tourism boards, travel agents, and travelers from
around the world about the current trend of traveling to rural
areas rather than cities due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
I'm also looking for research, data, and studies that show
there's been a decline in the city vacation this year. Please
send detailed relevant pitches.

4) Summary: Declining mobility funds in Texas as legislative session approaches

Name: Eva Vigh Community Impact Newspaper: Conroe/Montgomery Edition

Category: Travel

Email: query-bb1d@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Community Impact Newspaper: Conroe/Montgomery Edition

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 30 September

Query:

I am writing a story about the mobility needs of Montgomery
County, and how the state's declining mobility funds will affect
the county. (Looking for statewide angle, but if someone can
speak specifically to Montgomery County as well, that would be
even better!)

1. How did COVID-19 affect transportation projects across the
state, in terms or revenue, project timelines, etc.? How
did/is/will COVID-19 affect congestion in the state, in general?
How much does the future of transportation projects/congestion
hinge on the development of a vaccine? 2. (If relevant) What are
some policies/legislation you are advocating for this upcoming
legislative session? How did some of these priorities change
because of COVID-19? What questions remain going into the next
legislative, in terms of estimated revenues, budgets, etc.?

5) Summary: Your car knows best: these new auto safety features will surprise you

Name: Chris Elliott Forbes

Category: Travel

Email: query-bbce@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Forbes

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 30 September

Query:

I'm working on a story about new and innovative auto safety
features. For example, some vehicles have sensors that tell the
car if you're drowsy. The vehicle recommends that you pull over
and get some rest. Other cars will take control of your brakes
or steering if there's an imminent collision. I'd love to hear
from anyone who is driving a car like this. Has a safety feature
ever prevented an accident? From auto safety experts, I'm
interested in knowing which auto safety features are the most
popular. Also, which ones do drivers complain about the most?
Are there any new safety features we should expect soon?
Finally, is there any evidence that the features work?

Requirements:

Please read this before answering. I'd be very grateful if you
could send an initial response to my questions by email. Please
do not respond with a note that says you would like to be
considered for this story or want to set up a phone interview
with a source. I'm happy to consider you for this story. I've
included all of my questions in this query. Please take a minute
to briefly answer them. Kindly do not cut-and-paste answers from
previously published materials, such as press releases or blog
posts. If a phone interview is necessary, I will follow up right
away. Be sure to include your full name and a jargon-free, brief
(two to three word) description of your company or affiliation
as you would like it to appear in the article. I will do my
absolute best to acknowledge that I received your pitch and will
make every effort to let you know when the story appears. More

Media Outlet: VRM Intel

Deadline: 12:00 PM CST - 30 September

There have been numerous articles written about how guests at
vacation rentals and hotels behaved in truly odd/inappropriate

attention to the rules. I am looking to get a little
psychological Insight into Bad Guest Behavior After Lockdown. I
would like to know what about the lockdown may have caused
people to act like they were teenagers just released from
detention! This seemed to span all age groups - it was not just
young people.

Anyone with psychological/sociological insight to human behavior
after the lockdown.
