Media Outlet: Authority Magazine
Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 1 October
Query:
Dear Friends Authority Magazine is starting a new series about
Homes of The Future ( Full description here
https://bit.ly/2F9rRMu )
Because of, or perhaps despite, the Pandemic, homebuilding in
the US is surging. ( See
https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/toll-brothers-reports-record-contract-signings-despite-pandemic-2020-08-30
) We would like to feature the new technologies, techniques,
utilities, and designs that homebuilders and interior designers
are implementing. We have a particular interest in featuring new
designs that are helping homes to become more sustainable and
more resistant to extreme weather. We are also kind of geeky
about cool new technologies.
We would like to interview principals from homebuilding
companies, construction companies, architects, home designers
and interior designers.
The interview series will have two stages.
All of the full interviews will be published in Arianna
Huffington's Thrive Global and Authority Magazine, and they will
look like the following:

In addition, after the all interviews are completed, an article
featuring the ideas from the best interviews will be submitted
to Buzzfeed and Entrepreneur.com, like these we have done:

Individuals who are accepted for this series will be featured in
at least 2 - 4 articles.

primary leads for the series. Most interviews will not require
phone interviews and can be done by email. Requirements: We

designers.

inspirational black leaders in Tech who can share lessons from
their experiences, and inspire and empower others.

Query:
Crowdsourcing, or the use of professional testers outside of the
organization, is increasingly popular in software development
for app testing, engineering, and quality assurance (QA). I'd
like to get opinions from IT folks about the pros and cons of
crowdsourcing, especially for localization testing and testing
of mobile apps.
Some say that, on the positive side, crowdsourcing allows for
quick and cost-effective feedback from testers in various
environments who use a variety of human languages and devices.
On the downside, however, observers have noted that crowdsourced
testers tend to be less familiar with the app and therefore less
likely to discover software defects. What's more, talent pools
might not be available for complex testing tasks, so that
consequently, crowdsourcing should always be conducted in
collaboration with inside QA engineers who can oversee projects
and fix bugs.
Do you agree or disagree with these points? Are there are other
advantages and disadvantages you'd like to mention? Are you
noticing greater use of crowdsourcing with the rise of remote
work during the pandemic? Please elaborate, using real life
examples whenever possible. Thanks!
