Hello. My name is Erik Martin and I am a reporter for HomeStyle,
a nationally syndicated home improvement/design section
published weekly in newspapers across the country (visit

interview interior designers, billiards/pool table experts,
remodelers, real estate agents, and other real estate experts
for the following story:
Dive into pool - billiards, that is: How to shop for a new pool
table. Many homeowners are devoting extra dollars to indoor
entertainment features during coronavirus. One way to score big
with your family is to purchase a pool table and place it in an
ideal spot in your house. This article will suggest how, why,
and where, and how to shop for and select the right billiards
table and equipment for your needs and budget. Below is a list
of questions I'm seeking answers to. I can only accept written
responses via email. My deadline is noon central, Thursday,
September 10 , 2020.
QUESTIONS: 1. What are the pros and cons of adding a
billiards/pool table to your home? Why and how can it be a smart
idea, especially lately considering that we are spending more
time at home with our family members due to coronavirus? 2. How
popular are pool tables today versus years ago? Do you have any
data/statistics that you can cite? 3. Who are good candidates to
purchase and put in a pool table today and why? Who are not good
candidates? 4. Please explain/describe, and provide dimensions
for, the three main sizes of pool tables, and explain how each
is different and the pros and cons of each size. 5. Which
room/area is best suited for a pool table? What are the minimum
dimensions you need for the room for each of the three pool
table sizes? 6. What detailed tips can you suggest when it comes
to shopping for and ultimately selecting a pool table that is
right for your needs? What should homeowners consider carefully
before committing to a particular type/style/size of pool table?
7. What is the price range (low to high) to purchase a pool
table, including shipping/installation? Please provide three
different price ranges, based on the three different pool table
sizes. 8. What are some accessories that homeowners need to also
plan for, purchase, and install along with a pool table (e.g.,
pool cues, racks, chalk, overhead lighting, etc.)? Which of
these items are usually included with a pool table purchase, and
how much will the not included items usually cost? 9. Any other
