We're currently working on a piece regarding the correlation
between Gold and Bitcoin. According to Skew, their monthly
correlation is now around 70%, which is the highest ever,
surpassing highs seen in 2018 and May2019. We're looking to get
insights on the following subjects:
Bitcoin is sometimes referred to as 'digital gold', why is there
a correlation between gold and btc at all when they aren't
related in the traditional sense? Why isn't it correlated to
other commodities? (Oil for example, the biggest commodity in
the market)
There are times when this correlation is completely absent, how
can this be explained?
Is there a stronger correlation between BTC and gold or BTC and

the legal protections of US-based social media companies impact

1. Many of the largest social media companies are based in the
States, where they have sweeping Section 230 protections, and
these social media companies have global reach. How does 230
enable international users to use services from US-based social
media and messaging companies in the cases of protest and
advocacy? (For example, Hong Kong protesters used a
communications app called Bridgefy, which is based in CA. How
does Section 230 protect Bridgefy, which in turn enables Hong
Kong protesters to communicate freely via the app?)
2. If more Section 230 carve-outs are passed (potentially Earn
it act / Pact act) ... how could domestic or international users
potentially be affected by litigation in the States? For
example, could foreign government issue court orders to demand
information to be taken down and overwhelm US-based companies?
How could this affect the way people have been using social
media in terms of spreading raw video footage / protest info /
etc.?
3. Lastly, if you have experience with using social media to
organize a protest/demonstration either in the US or abroad,
please write in a couple sentences about your experience and
I'll reach out for more info.
