lost a loved one to addiction face stigmas related to how their
loved one died. In addition to grieving, surviving spouses,
children, significant others, siblings, aunts/uncles, etc., are
also faced with negative reactions from others because addiction

feel like they have to protect their loved one's reputation, are
afraid of how people will react to learning that alcohol (in
particular) or other drugs led to death, or who have had to deal

reactions, provide support, and ideas of what those impacted can
do when faced with stigmas.
