Hello. My name is Erik Martin, and I am a reporter for Real
Estate Weekly, a nationally syndicated section published weekly
in newspapers across the country (visit

5 DIY upgrades that can help your home sell more quickly. Zillow
partnered with Thumbtack to help sellers better estimate the
costs of five manageable projects they should consider before
listing their home for sale (see report at

Among the recommendations: upgrade your lights; replace your
faucets; landscape smartly; add a fire pit; and paint your front
door. This piece will list all five projects and provide
commentary from professionals as to why these are worthy
projects sellers can do themselves and how they can pay you back
at resale. I can accept written responses (full-sentences that I
can use as quotes) via email to the following questions. My
deadline is noon central, Friday, September 4.
