Wanted: very interesting people who are eager to open up
honestly in interviews and share their most fascinating stories,
for my 700-1,000 word "as told to" features on
Understandably.com and in some cases for additional coverage on
Inc.com. I know this sounds like a very broad request -- and it
is. Please just think about whether the story you want to share
is truly "very interesting," and if you're truly "eager to open
up honestly," and if you're comfortable with the "as told to"
format.
You might want to check out a couple of my past examples of

https://murph.me/attex2. Other upcoming editions include (a) a
woman who had gone through multiple rounds of IVF without
success only to have an unplanned child at age 43, (b) a man who
lost his sight around his 30th birthday then became a leading
advocate for the blind, (c) a woman who decided she'd had enough
of being a pessimist and trained herself for more than a year to
be an optimist.
Asking for these on HARO is an experiment, but if it works I'll
ask again as this is an ongoing series.
Requirements:
Very important ... Please *only* send the following: (a) your
name/email address, (b) whether you're writing on your own
behalf or for someone else, (c) a 100-200 word (max!) summary
of the story you have to share and why it's fascinating, (d)
optional: 1-2 links (max) where I can learn more info,
preferably other published stories, first-person accounts, etc.,
and (e) if you're looking for press because you're
pitching/selling something specific (like a product or a
business), maybe one link so I can understand it. The focus
here is 100% on sharing really interesting first-person stories
that help readers understand other people. If it looks like it
might be a fit for what I'm looking for, I'll follow up with
more information, and we can set a time for a phone or Zoom
interview.
