9) Summary: Buying vs. building email lists

Name: Andrew Martins Business.com

Category: Business and Finance

Email: query-b61d@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Business.com

Deadline: 1:00 PM EST - 20 August

Query:

This article is a pros and cons piece about buying and building
email lists. I'm looking for an email marketing expert to answer
the following questions:

-When it comes to small businesses, which email list procurement
method (bought or purchased) should be used? Is there one that's
better over the other?

-In my initial research, I'm seeing a good amount of people make
the claim that buying an email list for marketing purposes isn't
necessarily the best practice. Is there anything inherently
wrong with going to a list broker to buy a list?

-On the other side of the coin, organically building an email
list sounds like it could take a lot of time an effort for a
small business. What's the benefit of building your own list?

-Is it worth it to buy or grow an email list from scratch? What
are some ways a small business can do that?

-Is targeted email marketing worth it?

If there's anything I should consider when writing, or anything
my readers need to know about building or buying email lists,
please let me know.

Please refrain from answering unless you're an expert in email
marketing with specific knowledge of how buying and building
email lists works.

10) Summary: Resetting company valuations

Name: Lorna Garey Brainyard

Category: Business and Finance

Email: query-b62p@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Brainyard

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 21 August

Query:

In the best of times, setting a valuation for private companies
is tricky business - as witnessed by flops, flareouts and
unicorns in of the IPO game.

Now, with COVID-19 having a varied affect by industry and
geography, setting a value on a company may have moved from art
form to voodoo. In this story, we'll be focusing on the earning
multiplier / discounted cash flow method of valuation, and we'd
like expert input on how to develop a view and better yet
explain expected cash flows in the midst of the pandemic's
uncertainty.

Requirements:

Must have a financial background - CFO, M&A adviser, audit, etc.
and be able to speak authoritatively on valuations.

11) Summary: Renovation Remorse

Category: Business and Finance

Email: query-b63e@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Anonymous

Deadline: 12:00 PM EST - 26 August

Query:

For a major, national upscale publication, I'm seeking to
interview homeowners who weren't happy with the way their home
was remodeled five years ago and have since taken steps to
remedy that - with a new renovation. Their regrets could be
about ANYTHING -- from the kitchen location they initially
thought they wanted to the realization that their second floor
addition is too small for their needs and have decided to
enlarge it the second time around. Or perhaps, they realized
that they don't want a greenhouse and art studio on their
property after all but a swimming pool and a wet bar.

Requirements:

The focus is on very upscale homes - to dovetail with the
publication's demographics. The properties can be located
anyplace throughout the U.S., EXCEPT New York, LA and Miami,
which the publication covers a great deal. Before homeowners
agree to participate, I'll give them a clear idea about the
types of information the story will include -- so no surprises
whatsoever.

13) Summary: Do countries need their own cattle breeds?

Name: Ilya Dashkovsky Kommersant

Category: Business and Finance

Email: query-b641@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Kommersant

Deadline: 11:00 AM GMT - 21 August

Query:

For an article about national local cattle breeds development
policies and protection policies need a few expert opinions on
the need of having local cattle breeds at all. It is important
for me to point out that the article is not against or for local
breeds protection policies. I merely need expert opinions on it
from both supporters and skeptics. The article is mainly about
EU with some examples from North America.

So to summarize the question is simple:

- Do you think countries need their own cattle breeds? Please
explain why with examples.

Requirements:

Just support you personal opinion with some facts, data,
examples, etc
