Looking for chefs, restaurateurs, spa personnel, nutritionists
and even interior designers to weigh in on the following topics.
With staycations being the way to go, these ideas focus on how
to bring the perfect summer vacation home, whether it is
wellness, indulgence or food readers are after. (Travel
publicists--this is a possible opportunity to give your clients
a shout-out to create awareness for when you re-open.)
* Coffee Talk: A decor-and-home entertaining mix story: Tea
and coffee cups and serving pieces (kettles, pitchers) with
Arabian and Middle Eastern-inspired design, partnered with
recipes on the correct way to prepare Turkish, Arabian, Armenian
coffee and its history and its benefit. Including pots to make
them with.
* Making water more exciting: Everybody knows cucumber and
lemon water dispensers from their favorite hotels and spas, but
what foods (other than cucumbers) help increase water intake and
hydration, and how to flavor waters correctly. Of course, during
the summer months, many don't consume water the way they should
daily, so what are recommendations on how we can enhance our
daily intake. Spa-inspired water beverage recipes, such as water
with lemon and mint, water with slice of oranges, hot herb
infusions and teas as well as tips on infusing water correctly,
added health and nutrition benefits, dispenser ideas.
* On "'Que" for Dinner: Cookout season is on through early
fall, and we're looking for interesting BBQ recipes(chicken and
scale fish preferred; no pork) for the summer. Seeking ideas for
(hallal/kosher) recipes with photos from well-known chefs,
cookbook authors or restaurateurs, along with cooking tips to
ensure the dish is as healthy and perfectly executed as
possible. * "Cool" Food Trends: Frozen foods that
are healthy vs. those which are not healthy - How to shop for
the best frozen organic or hallal/kosher foods out there, and
any unexpected benefits of organic vs frozen - A guide to
finding the best frozen foods to cook and serve. Also, how to
freeze your own home cooking, along with stylish frost proof
containers.

Deadline: 11:00 PM EST - 3 July
Query:
So many trips have been canceled to the Big Apple, but I'd love
to feature a round-up on my blog about ways that those with the
travel bug can still experience New York City from afar,
virtually! I've found a few ways to experience museums and such,
but is there anything I'm overlooking? In addition to museums,
I'd love to include some roundups of how people can experience
the best shops for fashion, beauty, and anything else that could
be relevant that are adapting to the world we're in with a
virtual footprint (think entertainment, beaches, landmarks,
parks, etc. you name it!). Please note, I'm looking for virtual
resources that would be free for users to access online.
This article will run on my blog/website with an audience of 13K
IG followers & 14.4K monthly Pinterest viewers.
Requirements:
- Please include any links or relevant details in the pitch as I
will likely not have time for any phone calls. - MUST be for
locations/attractions in New York City, with a very strong
preference to Manhattan, but would like to hear about other
boroughs as well. -Please also include Google Drive or Box link
to any relevant photos if applicable. - If I have more questions
I will ask but anything else you can include would be great.
Ideally, pitches will be from representatives of the actual
place you're suggesting, but I'm open to hearing from other New
York lovers with solid suggestions too. If you work directly
with/for the location you're pitching, please make that clear in
your response and I will be sure to send a link once published
if your pitch was included in the final article!

I'm working on a digital roundup for a leading men's lifestyle
outlet about the best quick getaways for New Yorkers. All
destination recommendations must be within reasonable driving
distance - nothing that would require a flight. I'm not looking
for pitches from specific hotels, but I am open to hearing about
charming towns, adventure destinations, unique escapes, and
other suggestions of that nature. Day trips, overnight stays,
and weekend getaways are all fair game. Please include some
background information/interesting tidbits about each
destination and any must-see highlights during a visit. Feel
free to include a link to images as well. Thanks in advance.
Requirements:
Must be within driving distance for people in and around NYC.
