1) Summary: Hotel Buyouts

Name: Mark Ellwood Business Insider

Category: Travel

Email: query-b2sp@helpareporter.net

Media Outlet: Business Insider

Deadline: 12:00 PM EST - 30 July

Query:

Travel, which was largely stopped by the pandemic, is ramping up
again, albeit in specific ways - one of the biggest trends as it
reboots is the buyout, where a group can take over an entire
property for its own use, vacationing and responsibly socially
distancing at the same time. You might go to barefoot luxury in
Costa Rica at Villa Manzu, or a New England cottage writ large
at Maine's Chebeague Island Inn or just snap up Nukutepipi in
Tahiti, with room for 52 people at $1m/week. We want to
introduce the concept to the reader via a traveler's first-hand
perspective. The key here is interviewing, by phone or email,
guests who booked a hotel buyout in the pandemic era, and can
share their experiences about it. How did it compare with a
typical hotel stay? How did you hear about the idea? What would
you say to someone else considering it - what did you learn you
did, and didn't like? You get the idea. I am NOT looking to talk
to hotel owners or GMs or staffers or former guests of any other
kind, including those who bought out the hotel before the
COVID-19 pandemic.

Please note: The emphasis is 100% on five star or luxury
properties. We would not be able to include anything other than
luxury hotels or resorts. We can, however, feature ones from
anywhere in the world. We're also not looking for tweaks or
sidebars to this story; all I'm keen to source are contented
guests who have participated in a full buyout at a luxury hotel
somewhere in the world during the pandemic. I am open to folks
who have already booked, but not yet traveled.

Requirements:

Please send me details as follows: One para outline of the hotel
and its facilities, as well as the price for the full buyout.
One para bio of the potential client to interview, along with
specs on his or her buyout booking. NO attachments, please; all
emails with attachments will be deleted unopened. Please reply
directly to this email, rather than emailing me via other
methods. Please mark subject line: HOTEL BUYOUTS
