Name: David Roe CMSWire

Category: General

Deadline: 7:00 PM EST - 17 July

Query:

Europe's top court struck a blow to companies that rely on
transferring data between Europe and the US on Thursday by
ruling the Privacy Shield data-sharing agreement invalid.

In the ruling by the European Court of Justice, judges expressed
concerns that Privacy Shield certification didn't adequately
protect the data of European citizens from US surveillance
activities in the same way they're protected in the EU.
Essentially, there's no guarantee that privacy protections
provided for by law within the EU can be upheld when people's
data travels to the US.

"The limitations on the protection of personal data arising from
the domestic law of the United States on the access and use by
US public authorities of such data transferred from the European
Union to the United States, which the Commission assessed in the
Privacy Shield Decision, are not circumscribed in a way that
satisfies requirements that are essentially equivalent," said
the judgement.

Deadline: 9:00 AM EST - 21 July

Query:

Hi there! I have a Romper assignment titled, "Should We Practice
Separation With Kids Before They Go Back To Regularly Scheduled
Activities?"

I'm looking for experts to answer the following questions below
via email and I'd use their emailed responses as quotes in the
article and link back to their professional website. My
questions are as follows:

With some kids going back to school after a long several months
of quarantine, should we do some "practice separation" leading
up to going back to school? If so, what are some examples you
can think of for us to do this properly? And how long before
school starts should we begin the process?

What behaviors should we expect from our kids when we begin to
separate again and how can we comfort them?

Any other general tips for separation anxiety in kids once they
start a new routine again?
