1) Summary: Blockchain in tourismName: Julia Magas Cointelegraph

Media Outlet: Cointelegraph
Deadline: 9:00 PM GMT - 28 June
Query:
I'm looking for experts who can comment on the use of blockchain
in tourism. Over the past 3 years, a large number of initiatives
and projects have appeared on the market that promised to
improve the field of tourism and travel using blockchain
technology, but since then little has changed.
However, there are initiatives that have been taken at the state
level. For example, an additional distribution channel for
hotels was launched by Dubai to implement the Dubai 10x
initiative. The authors of the project proposed to use
Blockchain to connect all the travel organizations involved in
planning the trip, which will make it possible to provide guests
with greater choice and transparency, as well as to reduce
prices in the Dubai tourism inventory. Big travel giants like
Airbnb, Booking, and TUI are also exploring blockchain and
planning to use it.
I will be glad if you could share any information on this.
1) At what stage is the use of decentralized technology in large
tourism/air companies and hotels and what significant results
have been achieved?
2) What are the most important sectors of tourism that need a
blockchain, and which ones do just fine without it?
3) Any other thoughts on the matter are welcome.
Requirements:
The comments should come from experts in the tourism/travel
industry.

My editor sent me something about a topic he said is "all over
social," which is this thing on TikTok--perhaps
elsewhere--encouraging consumers to load up their carts with
merchandise from Trump's online store and then abandon it
because it impacts inventory levels and costs the Trump campaign
money. Politics aside, I'm trying to figure out if this is
true--does abandoning a cart hurt a brand? If so, how so?
